Service Overview: Outplacement Support
Optimum HR Systems Outplacement Support
Within the dynamics of today’s economy, employment termination can occur for any number of reasons. Advances in technology continue to replace scores of people. Increasing globalization results in outsourcing even professional level jobs to organizations in other countries. Whatever the reasons, for the employee this is a traumatic process. It is also a complicated legal and human resource management decision for the employer.
Off-the-shelf solutions consisting of template-based exit interviews, resume writing assistance, generic advice and training in currently trendy skills, which may or may not apply, are not enough to deal with this complex situation.
Optimum Human Resources believes that, in order to be meaningful, outplacement services must address the circumstances of the termination and the realistic career expectations of the person involved. We offer a customized, multi-step solution that includes:
Phase One: Pre-Termination Planning
We work with clients to determine the scope of the project and begin required documentation.A plan that suits the needs of both the employer and the former employee is put together.
Phase Two: Assessment
An individualized analysis is performed to evaluate the person’s strengths, areas requiring improvement and career options. This analysis is based on interviews with co-workers, supervisors and other persons acquainted with the employee in a variety of settings. The information gathered is summarized in a confidential report and is then used to formulate a customized plan for coaching, training and career planning.
Phase Three: Transition Coaching
This phase offers a variety of options, which are personalized for each person based on the results from the Assessment phase. As a minimum, coaching on resume writing and interviewing skills is provided. Finally, we assist the subject with help in formulating an effective and realistic Career Plan
Phase Four: Working on the Career Plan
During this phase, we provide former employees with an office, including a computer and access to other office equipment. The phone is answered during office hours. Continuing support will be provided during weekly one-hour meetings to assess progress.
While nobody can guarantee a job for the terminated employee, Optimum Human Resources Systems make sure that the results coming from our Outplacement Support Program provide the following benefits to the employer – our client:
